【摘要】:Thespectrumofthenoiseintheroombelowthetestspecimenisdeterminedbythefollowing:Thesizeandthemechanicalpropertiesofthefloor-ceilingassembly,suchasitsconstruction,surface,mountingoredgerestraints,stiffness,orinternaldamping,Theacousticalresponseoftheroombelow,Theplacementoftheobjectordeviceproducingtheimpacts,andThenatureoftheactualimpactitself.Thistestmethodisbasedontheuseofastandardizedtappingmachineofthetypespecifiedin8.1placedinspecificpositionsonthefloor.Thismachineproducesacontinuousseriesofuniformimpactsatauniformrateonatestfloorandgeneratesinthereceivingroombroadbandsoundpressurelevelsthataresufficientlyhightomakemeasurementspossiblebeneathmostfloortypeseveninthepresenceofbackgroundnoise.Thetappingmachineitself,however,isnotdesignedtosimulateanyonetypeofimpact,suchasproducedbymaleorfemalefootsteps.Becauseofitsportabledesign,thetappingmachinedoesnotsimulatetheweightofahumanwalker.Therefore,thestructuralsounds,i.e.,creaksorboomsofafloorassemblycausedbysuchfootstepexcitationisnotreflectedinthesinglenumberimpactratingderivedfromtestresultsobtainedbythistestmethod.Thedegreeofcorrelationbetweentheresultsoftappingmachinetestsinthelaboratoryandthesubjectiveacceptanceoffloorsundertypicalconditionsofdomesticimpactexcitationisuncertain.Thecorrelationwilldependonboththetypeoffloorconstructionandthenatureoftheimpactexcitationinthebuilding.Inlaboratoriesdesignedtosatisfytherequirementsofthistestmethod,theintentisthatonlysignificantpathforsoundtransmissionbetweentheroomsisthroughthetestspecimen.Thisisnotgenerallythecaseinbuildingswherethereareoftenmanyotherpathsforsoundsx2014;flankingsoundtransmission.Consequentlysoundratingsobtainedusingthistestmethoddonotrelatedirectlytosoundisolationinbuildings;theyrepresentanupperlimittowhatwouldbemeasuredinafieldtest.Thistestmethodisnotintendedforfieldtests.FieldtestsareperformedaccordingtoTestMethodE1007.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorymeasurementofimpactsoundtransmissionoffloor-ceilingassembliesusingastandardizedtappingmachine.Itisassumedthatthetestspecimenconstitutestheprimarysoundtransmissionpathintoareceivingroomlocateddirectlybelowandthatagoodapproximationtoadiffusesoundfieldexistsinthisroom.1.2Measurementsmaybeconductedonfloor-ceilingassembliesofallkinds,includingthosewithfloating-floororsuspendedceilingelements,orboth,andfloor-ceilingassembliessurfacedwithanytypeoffloor-surfacingorfloor-coveringmaterials.1.3Thistestmethodprescribesauniformprocedureforreportinglaboratorytestdata,thatis,thenormalizedone-thirdoctavebandsoundpressurelevelstransmittedbythefloor-ceilingassemblyduetothetappingmachine.1.4LaboratoryAccreditation8212;TherequirementsforaccreditingalaboratoryforperformingthistestmethodaregiveninAnnexA2.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
