【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverssolid,kilnfiredbrickandtilemadefromclay,shale,ormixturesthereof,suitableforindoorandoutdooruseinmasonryconstructionsubjectedtochemicalenvironments.1.2Thephysicalandchemicalpropertiesofbrickandtiledifferfromsuppliertosupplier,mainlybecausetheircompositionisdeterminedbythesourceofrawmaterials.Regardlessofthedifferences,brickandtileareconsideredtobeofthreetypesasfollows:1.2.1TypeI-Forusewherelowabsorptionandhighacidresistancearenotmajorfactors.1.2.2TypeII-Forusewherelowerabsorptionandhigheracidresistancearerequired.1.2.3TypeIII-Forusewhereminimumabsorptionandmaximumacidresistancearerequired.Note1TypesI,II,andIIImaynotdiffersignificantlyinthermalshockresistance.Thesuitabilityofagivenbrick,foraparticularapplicationshouldbedeterminedatthetimeofpurchasebyagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Note2TypesIandIIIwereformerlydesignatedType"H''and"L''respectively.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
