【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsfordevicesintendedtoaddresstheriskofinjuryanddeathassociatedwithaccidentalfallsfromwindowsbychildrenfiveyearsoldandyounger.1.2ThisspecificationisnotintendedtomeettheuniquerequirementsofAmericansWithDisabilitiesAct(ADA).1.3Thisspecificationappliestowindowfallpreventiondevicesthataretobeusedonanywindows,includingthosethataredesignatedforemergencyescape(egress)andrescue(ingress).Note1Aseparatesafetyspecification,SafetySpecificationF2006,coverswindowfallpreventiondevicesfornon-emergencyescape(egress)andrescue(ingress)windowsininstallationsmorethan75feet(23m)abovegroundlevelinmultiplefamilydwellingbuildings.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallsafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIvaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
